BCA CONSULTANT AND CERTIFIER
Davis Group are BCA consultants based in Sydney who specialise in providing BCA Reports, Performance Solutions and BCA Capability Statements.
We are registered with the Building Commission NSW as a Building Surveyor - Unrestricted, which is the highest level of registration available, and as a Registered Certifier and Principal Certifier. BCA Report
A clause by clause assessment of a proposed or existing building against the Building Code of Australia (BCA), with practical and cost-effective recommendations wherever a requirement is not met.
Council will usually ask for one with a Development Application, and again at Building Information Certificate stage where the work has already been carried out. Some Councils request it as a BCA Capability Statement.
Performance Solution Report
A Performance Solution is an alternative pathway to comply with the Building Code of Australia (BCA).
A Performance Solution is often requested by a Registered Certifier or Council to resolve non-compliance with the prescriptive requirements of the BCA. A Performance Solution is typically a one-off design, unique to work with site constraints or specific project outcomes.
BCA Capability Statement
A statement providing assurance to Council that a proposed design is capable of complying with the Building Code of Australia (BCA) without significant design modifications.
Council commonly requests one as part of a Development Application. We review the proposed plans, identify the design issues that would stand in the way of compliance, and set out practical solutions before the application is lodged.
